Today, we mark our first decade as a company! If you caught our timeline post last year, you know that over the past ten years, we've had projects from pretty much every part of the educational spectrum. Enable has been lucky enough to work with an incredibly smart, diverse group of team members, and we've always prided ourselves on being able to say "Yeah, we can do that." We're driven to engage all kinds of learners, we love a challenge, and we're not afraid to try something new and innovative.
It seems fitting that today be the day that we release our first cartoon (yeah, we make cartoons too). Sophia Gets Wise is an interactive, animated digital series for viewers ages 5-8, and it's designed to help kids laugh and play their way to better thinking skills. Inspired by our book/app series "ThinkAboutIt: Philosophy for Kids", each episode presents a why question, and allows the viewer to choose from three alternate endings. The best part is that the digital series is just one part of a multiplatform universe we're building, one which will include an interactive web portal, games, a television series, mobile apps, and much more.
Here's our pilot episode, "This Fair Is Not Fair!"
We'd like to thank our creative partner and producer/director, Susana Silva, our amazing animators, Maria Hurtado and Jane Li, and all of the incredible Enable team members who contributed.
To everyone who has worked for us and with us over the past 10 years, and to everyone who has supported us in other ways, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Enable is, by far, the best gig that we (President Ben Zimmer and I) have ever had, and we're beyond excited to see where the next 10 years take us. Please visit our website and stay tuned for more incredible projects.
